Here’s a delicious smoked turkey recipe:

Ingredients:
- 1 (12-14 pound) whole turkey
- 1 cup smoked paprika rub (see below)
- 1 cup wood chips (such as apple or cherry)
- 1 cup turkey brine (optional)
Smoked Paprika Rub:

- 1/2 cup smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat smoker to 225-250°F.
- Prepare turkey brine (if using).
- Pat turkey dry with paper towels.
- Apply smoked paprika rub evenly over turkey.
- Place turkey in smoker, breast side up.
- Smoke for 4-5 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Baste with melted butter every hour.
- Let turkey rest 30 minutes before carving.
Turkey Brine (optional):
- 1 gallon water
- 1 cup kosher salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
Brining Instructions:
- Combine brine ingredients in a pot.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until salt dissolves.
- Cool brine to room temperature.
- Submerge turkey in brine for 24 hours.
Wood Chip Options:

- Apple wood chips: sweet, fruity flavor
- Cherry wood chips: mild, slightly sweet flavor
- Hickory wood chips: strong, smoky flavor
