Chicken Oysters, also known as chicken tenders or chicken gizzards, are a delicious and tender cut of chicken. Here’s a simple recipe:

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound chicken oysters (tenders or gizzards)
  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1 teaspoon paprika
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  8. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  9. 2 eggs, beaten
  10. 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  11. Vegetable oil or cooking spray for frying

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Rinse the chicken oysters under cold water, pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Step 2: Dredge in Flour

  1. Dredge the seasoned chicken oysters in flour, shaking off excess.

Step 3: Dip in Eggs

  1. Dip floured chicken oysters in beaten eggs, coating completely.

Step 4: Coat with Breadcrumbs

  1. Roll egg-coated chicken oysters in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Step 5: Fry

  1. Heat about 1/2 inch (1 cm) of vegetable oil or cooking spray in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry coated chicken oysters until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  2. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

  1. Use different seasonings or herbs for unique flavor profiles.
  2. Bake instead of fry for a healthier option.
  3. Serve with honey mustard, BBQ sauce, or ranch dressing.
  4. Add some crunch with toasted breadcrumbs or crispy fried onions.
